The system is used for the large domestic hot water need, when a significant amount of workers is lodging in the berry farm. During summer, the maximum solar production and the maximum heat consumption occur simultaneously especially during strawberry harvesting season.
Two collectors were installed on the bitumen roof and the system has been connected to the existing heating system. Next to the solar thermal system, an installation of photovoltaic panels is used to produce environmentally friendly electricity for the needs of the berry farm.
